Drum rolls & horns a screamin', we're getting started. Mind you there will be none of that in today's sound bite, a lenghty pastoral drone piece.
Here it is:
#1 by Guess The Sample
Can you guess the original work that was sampled for its creation?
If you can't just yet, don't worry, clues will be provided throughout the day, unless someone finds out sooner.
1st clue: In seclusion in the West wing.
2nd clue:
3rd clue: by Franz for Franz, at least the last bits.
4th clue: Part of it was lost or stolen in 1958 in Belgium.
And the answer is........ right here
(can also be found at the bottom of this post, don't wanna spoil it for those would like to try and guess later on)
You can give your answers & guesses as comments on this post or on twitter (@Le_Berger)
First person to find out may come up with a sampled creation of their own, or if they choose to forfeit their turn, we'll figure something out.

Today's creation comes from yours truly, and there is plenty enough info about me on this page or out there, so let's say I don't wanna butter it up with further self promo.
When the creations will come from other artists, this will be a space allocated for a blurb about who they are / what they do / official website / upcoming projects, etc.
ANSWER: Mozart's Requiem, Lacrimosa dies illa (choir) from the Sequencia movement.
Congrats to Tom for solving the very first GUESS THE SAMPLE!
When it comes to how it was made, well it's been laying around in the computer for a while, so I might not remember every single thing that I've done with the original. It is a discarded bit from the time I was working on Sounds of the Sleepless Sam Vol.I. If memory serves I time stretched it a little bit and pitch shifted probably close to an octave down, I reversed only parts of it and left others untouched. I then convolved the sound with itself (or at least part of itself) I do not recall any other modifications taking place.
lacrimosa from "mozart's" requiem k.626, completed by his student FRANZ Süssmayr and pillaged by his widow Constanze.
